Missionary work documented in the field for the North American Mission Board

Whisper has shot videos since 2022 for the North American Mission Board that have helped raise $284.9 million through their Annie Armstrong Easter Offering Campaign.

Gifts to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering are used to train and resource missionaries in church planting and compassion ministries. Gifts are also used to create evangelism resources. New churches are being planted, hurts are being healed and lives are being transformed by the gospel because you give.

Case 01
Chris Carrier standing on a rural road in the Florida Everglades

On December 20, 1974, 10-year-old Chris Carrier was kidnapped, stabbed, shot in the head and then left to die in the Florida Everglades. This is the story of how a crime that started out unsolved ended up “exceptionally cleared.”

A standalone documentary produced for the North American Mission Board, told with the same patience and restraint we bring to every field project — letting the subject speak for himself.

Case 02
On location for Delta Air Lines' Velvet film

A global brand film for Delta Air Lines, shot on location in Amsterdam, Tokyo, and San Francisco. Whisper provided the cinematographer and the edit.

Cinematography and editorial · Three cities, three continents · Documentary craft applied to a commercial brand story.

Case 03
Abelardo walking away from his farm in La Floresta, Colombia

Abelardo is a farmer who grew yucca, plantains, and cocoa — the crop from which chocolate is made. One day he was forced to leave his farm because he could no longer grow anything on his land and could not provide for his family. This was the result of United States tax dollars at work through a policy called Plan Colombia.

Plan Colombia's goal is to slow the production of coca — the plant used to make cocaine — by dropping herbicides meant to kill the crop. Our documentary shows how this approach only increases coca production while harming innocent families such as Abelardo's, who want nothing to do with growing coca.

Case 04
Colorful hillside neighborhood in Comerío, Puerto Rico

After one of the worst storms in a century nearly destroyed their town, you would think Hurricane Maria would be all people in Comerío, Puerto Rico would talk about. But church planter Jorge Santiago says that is not so.

A portrait of a community defined less by what it lost than by the neighbors who stayed — filmed on the streets of Comerío for the North American Mission Board.

Why Whisper

Human stories, honestly told.

We know how to enter someone's world, earn their trust and find the story that doesn't appear on a creative brief.

Our work combines documentary curiosity with the production discipline required by major brands, networks and organizations. Plenty of crews can create beautiful images. Fewer can interview real people, work sensitively in difficult environments and discover a story as it unfolds.

The team

A small senior team, scaled around the story — experienced filmmakers surrounded by trusted collaborators, which keeps the work intimate, flexible and close to the people in it.
